It is really late at night right now. I am currently in the process of creating a fresh new site with a whole new theme and all new content. At the moment the theme is fairly simplistic, but I kind of like it that way. It’s clear, readable, and free of distractions.
Why am I starting over? There are a number of reasons, but mostly it boils down to there not being too much on the old site that I really wanted to hold on to. There were a few articles that I will want to rewrite, but I really hope to go beyond what the old site was — though I certainly am not going to be making any promises.
I am willing to mention a few hopes I have for this new site I am in the process of creating. I want to provide resources for people new to programming and game development. Often just getting started can be a difficult and daunting challenge for people so I would like to provide some fun and easy to understand articles to provide some help.
I also hope to have more fun hacking together quick and dirty mini-games. I often find I have the most fun on these short time constraint projects where I can go from a simple idea to an implementation in a few hours. I know these games are not likely going to impress anyone, but it’s such an enjoyable and strangely rewarding process.
I don’t know how 2012 will unfold, but I intend to enjoy it as much as possible.
